We are celebrating 25 years of service
Stewarty Care Ltd was founded in 1993 and has grown to become one of the major providers of home care in Dumfries & Galloway, employing nearly 100 staff.
We pride ourselves in being able to provide a flexible care package delivered in the homes of our service users, based around their needs. Individual requirements vary greatly, so a flexible range of services is offered - from short visits of one hour each week to total care 24 hours a day.
In the summer of 2004, the ownership of the company was placed in the hands of its employees and a Board was elected to oversee the business.

We celebrate the fact we are able to retain staff through our employee ownership culture in a sector which traditionally has a high turnover of staff.
Our employees play a very important role in the community, particularly in the rural areas in which Stewartry Care operates, so it can only be right that they have direct ownership of the company they have helped to build.
The management team have a depth of experience and qualifications in Nursing and Social Care and live and work in the area. The Company prides itself on being locally based with no formal attachment to any national organisation.
